Research Applications, Inc. (RAi) is a
small technologically sophisticated corporation. It was founded
in 1979 by its two principals, Robert Childress, Ph.D. and Greg
Clark, P.E. Offices and manufacturing facilities are owned by
the company and are located in Chandler, Arizona, on one acre
of land adjacent to a private airport with direct taxi and runway
access.
Research Applications is best described
as a company that finds solutions for difficult or demanding
product design and performance requirements. The main direction
of RAi has been to use microcontrollers to bridge the transition
from mechanical control systems to modern digital systems with
sophisticated algorithms. Our designs often have both a price
and a performance advantage over competing products. Past projects
have addressed process control, data acquisition, telemetry,
air conditioning, cable television systems, industrial safety,
multi-tasking commercial software, physical rehabilitation, medical
testing software, advertising displays, and energy management.
